Three countries in 24 hours

I got back from Nicaragua at 2:00 am Saturday morning, stayed in Atlanta the whole day, then flew straight from Atlanta to Santiago around 10:00 pm. It was the first time I had ever been on a nine-hour-long flight. So far, Chile is pretty sweet. I’ve only been to a big city a handful of times, including Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. We landed at about 7:00 am, went through customs, then were bussed to our apartment. There are twenty-five students on this trip, so I share a suite with two other guys. It is kind of run-down, but perfectly livable- there are three beds, two bathrooms and a kitchen complete with refrigerator, oven, sink and microwave. We took the metro to the seminary at about noon, ate at a local restaurant, then came back. Tomorrow we will exchange money (the changers are closed on Sunday) and get groceries, etc. I’ll explain what the trip consists of tomorrow, but for now I have to put up my computer- I’m running on low battery because the guy at Radio Shack in the good ‘ol US told me the wrong kind of power adapter to buy. Wish me luck!
